Ty Bryant has been a dedicated member of the Varsity Football and Baseball teams at Frederick Douglass High School since his freshman year (football) and since the 8th grade (baseball). He was selected as a member of the Football Leadership Council as a sophomore and junior. He also holds 2020 All-City First Team, KSR’s 2020 Kentucky High School Football All-State First Team, 2020 All-BluegrassPreps.com defensive player honors and 2020 Courier Journal All-State Second Team honors as a Defensive Back/Athlete. Ty has also been recognized as a standout on the diamond receiving MVP honors and being ranked in the state of Kentucky as a position player. Ty not only excels on the field and on the diamond but also in the classroom. He has been on the honor roll and a member of the National Beta Club for three years and maintains a 4.0 GPA (unweighted). He is a member of BMW Academy. BMW Academy is a nationally awarded college preparatory program for young men. Outside of BMW Ty is involved in an array of community activities. For the last three years he has been a youth usher at Consolidated Baptist Church as well as a volunteer server at the annual Lighthouse Ministries Holiday Dinners, both for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Ty is undecided about where he will continue his academic and athletic career but, to date, he has 1 Ivy League and 7 Division 1 football offers. He is also undecided about his college major.
